Yeah, you, my dear follower, who might or might’ve not have wondered where this lady has gotten to. Well, the story goes..
There was once this young lady who used internet to get by her daily business. Her much too cranky provider who suffered from many mood swings because of bad weather had decided to up and quit. For a while. It could get tiring to provide for lady and her townspeople after all. So, left without her main source of entertainment and almost all things in this day and age of technology, she resigned to turn to her books. She read, and then read some more. It was something she did even before losing her much beloved internet. But she was grateful for the extra time this situation gave her with her books, though she’d never admit this to her moody provider. Remembering her passion for solving puzzles, she also decided to conquer the world of 1500 pieces. Needless to say she succeeded, and without giving too much away of her sanity too. However, before she could reach for her final 3000 pieced puzzle, the provider, the one she loved to hate, after having its not too much deserved vacation, decided to do its job once again and, wait for it, provided her with her internet. And finally, all was right with the world, though she can still be seen puzzling her way through 1500 pieces.
A happy ending, you think? Guess so.
Until next time.
ps. If you suffered this post till the very end, I thank you from the bottom of my pile of books to read. Now, on to reviews!
Better late than never they say, right? So here’s Happy New Year to my fellow readers! May your year be filled with lots of good books and a whole lot of time to read them all!
For those of you who are kind and curious enough to be wondering, the reason why I wasn’t around is not because I stopped making my hodgepodge-in fact, it’s coming along nicely and deliciously, thanks for asking- but because this time real life decided to take the control back from fictional world to rule over me.
I survived like the good heroine I constantly wish I was, and am back to making my hodgepodge. Did I say it’s coming along deliciously? Yes? Oh good.
I’ll be back to reporting from the kitchen real soon. Until then, keep reading and dreaming, and don’t forget to eat healthy but also a little naughty every once in while. Add some spice too, it’s good for the heart!
I know I’m a bit late for new year wishes, but hey, better late than never, right? So much delicious food was cooked and surprisingly-or maybe not, since I served drinks as well, heh- people didn’t eat as much as I anticipated so that left me with a whole lot of leftovers. Can you imagine how I’ve been spending my time? I think at some point my fridge was scared of my late night visits. I swear I heard it whisper, “What the fridge do you want now? Take it all, take it and leave me alone for the love of fridge!” Or, something like that. Soo..
I wish you guys a very happy, healthy, wonderful new year, one where you can come a little bit closer to cleaning up your to-read piles-not completely you see, because is that even possible?
Most of my books are e-books. I don’t have bookshelves enough-actually, I don’t think the whole world does either- to store all the books I plan to read. But, I do have one resolution this year. Well, one of many. I still have some paperback books dusting on my shelves and I thought it’d be good to pick them up and give them a good read. Here’s what I found on my shelves:
